Commitment to theEnvironment

In the framework of our Quality and Environmental Policy and in order to maintain an open relationship with stakeholder groups, we report on the environmental performance of our farms during the year 2023.

Stolt Sea Farm advocates transparency and with the aim to fullfil the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) standard for flatfish, we make public the relevant information required, which can be found here.

The main environmental issues identified are, on one hand, our consumption of electricity, oxygen, feed, fresh water and fuel and, on the other hand, the impacts associated with emissions which have the potential to contaminate water, soil or the atmosphere. The following scale is determined by the following categorisation of the effects or their absence:
